Tofu Fries

High Protein Snack

This is the perfect high protein snack which is so delicious!

Serve with some dipping sauce, salad, or veggies.


INGREDIENTS

1 block firm tofu
1/3 cup cornflour
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp turmeric
Vegetable oil for shallow frying


DIRECTIONS

Press the tofu for 10-15 mins.
Mix all the dry ingredients into a bowl.
Slice the tofu into strips.
Add to the dry mix and coat the tofu.
Heat a pan on med-high heat then add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Once it’s hot, add in the tofu.
Let fry for a few minutes on one side before flipping.
Take the tofu out and let rest on a paper towel before serving to get rid of the excess oil.
*you can also bake these at 180C, just drizzle over a little oil and bake for around 20-30 mins.
Serve with some vegan mayo and sweet chilli sauce.
